Meetings with Mrs. Maas are confidential. What you talk about with Mrs. Maas will not be shared with anyone else unless:
You give Mrs. Maas permission
You are being harmed or are at risk of being harmed
You are harming someone else or are at risk of harming someone else
You are harming yourself or at risk of harming yourself
Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment guarantees Mrs. Maas will be available to meet with you!
Mrs. Maas meets with students 1:1 or in small group settings about the areas listed below. She provides a non-judgmental space for you to vent or talk through what is going on in your life. Some things Mrs. Maas can help with are:

Post-high school planning
Schedules and course requests (Mrs. Wolfensperger is the contact for concurrent enrollment)

Meetings with Ms. Goodenbour are confidential. What you talk about with Ms. Luth will not be shared with anyone else unless:
You give Ms. Goodenbour permission
You are being harmed or are at risk of being harmed
You are harming someone else or are at risk of harming someone else
Ms. Goodenbour is our Mental Health Student Support Coach and is third party contracted through UnityPoint Health- Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center. Ms. Goodenbour meets with students individually, in small groups, students with teachers, and students and their parents/families. She runs the Mental Health Club at Columbus. She also plans and runs Mental Health Week and other recreation, de-stressing and educational activities. Some things she can help with:
Educating and linking students and families to beneficial community resources
Giving you a listening ear, education, advice, encouragement and support
Setting personal goals and guidance in achieving those goals
Sharing resources for mental health and general wellbeing
Education, coping skills and symptom management
Referrals for and education on mental health services such as therapy, medication management, etc. through the UnityPoint Health system.
Mrs. Wolfensperger's office is in the College/Career Programing classroom, room 241.
