It's a privilege to have you in class. This is my 16th year at Canyon Middle School in the Science Department!
I'm glad to be your Science teacher. This year I will have 4 sections of 6th grade Science, and 1 section of 7th grade Science.
I do hope to encourage your interests and knowledge as we explore various topics in the Life and Physical Sciences. By exploring these fields of science, I hope to help you understand that you have a very important part in our natural world.

6th Grade Science

In the sixth grade Science, the guiding concept is: “Systems within organisms and between them, and how they adapt to Earth’s climate systems.”
I am looking forward to a year exploring several Scientific topics/fields of Life, Earth and Physical Science.
As we study and explore the various topics, I hope to encourage your curiosity and the want to understand the world we live in, as well as academically succeed in science class.

7th Grade Science

In the seventh grade Science, the guiding concept is: Natural processes and human activities cause energy to flow and matter to cycle through Earth's systems.
I am looking forward to a year exploring several Scientific topics/fields Chemistry, Earth, and Life Sciences.
As we study and explore the various topics, I hope to encourage your curiosity, understand how the structure of atoms allows life to exist, and how energy and matter cycles affects the world we live in.
My hope is for you to academically succeed in science class and continue wanting to know more about the many facets of this subject.
