Ms. Milinkevich is a 5th grade teacher. She has been teaching for 18 years, 17 of which have been in 5th grade. She has wanted to be a teacher for as long as she remembers and is so thrilled that her dream came true!
She grew up in a small town called Paradise, California. She attended Ponderosa Elementary School, Paradise Intermediate School, and Paradise High School. She graduated as Valedictorian of her high school. She continued her education at California State University, Chico where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Additionally, she went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership from St. Mary's College in Moraga where she graduated with honors.
In her free-time she likes to read, cook, bake, decorate cakes, collect coins, and go to Disneyland. You can see some of the cakes she has made at her other website: Mmm...GoodCake.com. Her absolute favorite book series is J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. She has read each book more than 50 times over the years. It is her go-to series when she wants something fun to read. Recently, she has enjoyed The Land of Stories series, The Kingdom Keepers series, The Artemis Fowl Series, and The Mysterious Benedict Society Series.
Her favorite teacher and inspiration is Ms. Valerie Felicity Frizzle, also known as "The Friz." Although Ms. Milinkevich lacks the Magic School Bus Ms. Frizzle had access to, she helps her students find their own magic from within.
I added the lights to make it really shine!
At the time, it was the second largest Lego set ever made!
When you turn it around you can see into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardary.
Here is one of the cakes I made. This one was for my brother's wedding. It was 48 pounds of yummy, chocolate goodness!
One year later, I made this anniversary cake for my brother and his wife. They like Disney...can you find the hidden Mickey on this cake?
This was a Neopolitan Rose Cake. The teachers at my school were able to enjoy the three delicious flavors of this cake. Can you guess what the three flavors were?
I was practicing my airbrushing skills with this graduation cake.
Here is a cake I made for spring. My 2 year old nephew said, "Lion!"
It was not supposed to be a lion...
I made these cakes for my family for Easter. They were angel food cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream topping. My nephews licked their bowls when they were done. Needless to say, they liked the cakes!
This was a rainbow 'surprise inside cake' I made for a friend's birthday. When you cut it open candy spilled out like a pinata!
This was one of my favorite cakes I've made so far. I made it for a friend's birthday. It gave me a chance to try some new techniques- carving, anti-gravity, and surprise inside. Plus, it looked cute and it tasted great too! Chocolate cake and chocolate frosting for the inside of an M&M. Melts in your mouth, not in your hands!
