About the Teacher

Hi!  I am excited to be starting my twenty-first year teaching at Canyon Middle School!  I love teaching middle schoolers, and I enjoy spending time with them during their transitional years between elementary and high school.  

I really love to read, and I love helping my students become better readers, writers, presenters, and overall good citizens.  My husband and I were blessed with three daughters, and as a parent, I have been able to experience all  the adventures that come with having three kids. Our daughters love to read, so I can sometimes ask them for book recommendations for my students.

My husband, Derek, is a good  sport about being in a house full of females.  :)  I am excited to meet all of my new students this year, and I look forward to getting to know each and  every one of you!  Here's to a fun and successful year.
