Identify a "study buddy"--someone who also has me as their teacher. Call them up for help!
Be sure you are attending the scheduled Google Meets, we will review and correct work at that time
DIN stands for Digital Interactive Notebook - just like you might have had a paper notebook at school where you tape/glue in all of your assignments, this one is digital!
You can get to your DIN through Google Classroom
You will be working on pages in your DIN almost every day
We will review pages you complete in your DIN during Google Meets. You are responsible for correcting your work as we review it. Work that is not corrected/completed will be marked down
You will only turn in your DIN once, usually at the end of the Unit
The DIN is worth a LOT of points, so make sure you have completed everything before turning it in
Grades are entered into Aeries about once per week
Final grades will NOT be on Google Classroom (although some assignments will have grades there)
If you notice a mistake in Aeries, please email me ASAP so we can get it fixed
My email is schapman@cv.k12.ca.us
Here's a video on How to Write an Effective Email
Students, when writing an email, please tell me your name, what period you are in, and what your question is, or what issue you are having. Please use complete sentences!
1. Be sure you are signed in to your CV Google Account and using Google Chrome
2. Click on CLEVER
3. Scroll all the way down until you see the purple "TCI" logo
Double check to make sure you are logged in to your CV Google account and using Google Chrome
If you still can't watch the videos, please email me and let me know which video you can't see, and what the error message says. I will try and troubleshoot the problem with you!
Extra credit is available to all students.
It is available at different times throughout the year, and may range from an extra writing assignment, to watching a video, to reporting on a current event.
I do NOT give extra credit to students who ask me what they can do to raise their grade at the end of the quarter.
WORK HARD, AND ALWAYS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EXTRA CREDIT WHENEVER IT IS GIVEN TO YOU!
Students can always turn in late work! You will lose points for each day that your work is late, so make the effort to turn it in as soon as possible. Be sure to send an email notifying me what assignment you have submitted.
