Background: You need an account with the College Board's AP Classroom for a number of things we will be doing in AP Biology this year. The main few being to sign up for the actual AP Exam and also to take your exams. We will also use it for note taking and practice tests.
Step by Step:
Recognize and accept that the College Board's website is an absolute dumpster fire. It is very difficult to navigate and completely illogical. You will get frustrated. I get frustrated. Try your best to just push through. I've tried to make these directions as clear as possible.
You will need a College Board student account to log into My AP (myap.collegeboard.org) and access AP Classroom. Please bookmark that page. You may already have an account, so it's important that you don't create multiple College Board accounts. If you're not sure whether you have a College Board account, you should contact AP Services for Students for verification before attempting to create a new account.
Enter your login information and click submit.
If you do NOT have an account, please make one using your personal email (school email will block College Board and you will lose access once your graduate). If you have an account but forgot your username or password, the links below the login area of the screen will help you. We will use this all year, so don't forget your log in information!
If you have an account associated with your school email you should immediately change the registered email to your personal email after you log in.
Look for the pop up window, click "Join a Course or Exam" and enter my join code based on your period:
Period 1:
Period 3:
Period 4:
Period 6:
The next screen will ask you to verify that the course you want to join is mine (Emily Ledford at Castro Valley High School). Click "yes". You will then be prompted to verify your information. Enter this and then click "yes".
Congratulations, you did it! Now let's get started on the Chemistry of Life :)
