We are seeking new books that can serve as windows and mirrors for our students so they can continue to learn about themselves and build empathy for other experiences.
We would like to hear from you...
What diverse titles would you like to see in Our collection?

What do we mean by diversity in the context of a library collection?
We are looking for books that recognize all diverse experiences, including (but not limited to):
Ethnic, Cultural, and Religious Minority Groups-- specifically Native/Indigenous, Black/African American, Latino, Asian, and English Language Learners
Gender and LGBTQIA Diversity
People with Disabilities
Different Political Leanings
Various Body Types.
We would also like to see stories featuring various:
living situations / socio- economic status
settings-- urban, suburban, rural
time periods -- both historical and current stories
→ We are seeking books in which the main character or several secondary characters show their complexity of character as role models, overcoming challenges, and breaking stereotypes.
→ It is preferable that the author is part of the same minority group as the character.
