Kalynn Huang

In this series, I explored the dynamic between a creator and their creations. The winged character is the "writer" of this world, the creator of the two other characters as well as the ball-shaped creatures and the bears. I imagined that this character is sly and acts with disregard towards the other two characters, who are seen and treated as dolls under their control.

In WRITER I combined angelic elements and fountain pen motifs to convey the idea that writers are akin to "gods" in their written world wherein a single twitch of a finger can make a story change course. In TRACK 001 I kept the composition mostly symmetrical to convey a sense of security and comfort that comes from listening to a favorite song on repeat.
