How does outside factors affect the way we present ourselves? In this series, I explore how the subconscious minds and outer stigma connect to fashion. This is shown by ideological fashion and conceptual looks. By connecting this to my inquiry, I reveal the duality of clothing to it's symbolic definition.
This idea was developed from how our surroundings and subconscious minds can influence fashion. In the my works, I create figures that have disembodied faces, focusing on the message behind the appearance. I found inspiration in the outside world of both societal and ethical issues many face today. As my inquiry develops, I begin to uncover fabricated and more abstract methods such as the bubbles in my first shown work, where I disguised the themes of vulnerability and sensitivity in the form of bubbles as a dress. This interconnects the idea that our sensitive outlook and mental health can affect our appearances and outerwear.
