"How can the beauty of physics be reinterpreted on a canvas?" My series explores this question by taking well-known physics concepts and their related equations, then reimagining them visually on a canvas to bridge my own interests in the subjects. I hope to make the wonder of physics more accessible through beauty, humor, and illustrated intrigue, giving the equations new perspectives to consider.
Every piece has a limited color palette to centralize the focus on the physics aspect, particularly through color contrast. For composition, I began by depicting physics through more literal, playful examples (e.g Image 5). Then, I shifted to metaphors, such as spinning rainbow thread into white yarn to symbolize white light refracting to rainbow light through a crystal prism. Subsequently, I reinterpreted theories and their elements as a creative narrative. Each piece features its equation respective to the concept. Ultimately, my works explore how I can take physics beyond the textbook.
