My series is about the endeavor and the outcomes of getting out of a rut, because I have been trying to venture for a bright future. I expressed all of my feelings and experiences into my artworks, allowing me to visualize my journey.
I want to create a visual story where its meaning is to show buoyancy during hard times. The thing that inspired me the most throughout my journey is about the times where I walked through the serene landscapes. I partook in the beauty of photography, to get inspired by the scenery and the towns that I observe during my strolls, and it’s also one of my healthy coping skills and my motivation to do things. I got inspired by works such as "Le Passage" by Kay Sage and "The Ninth Wave" by Ivan Aivazovsky, to create a calming but ominous atmosphere. I also want to represent the symbol of rut by putting it into a golden spider. I used the arachnid because it is one of my fears—the design of the creatures are abhorrent in some aspects—and makes me stop from doing things, which is why I symbolized fear as a spider. In the end, it made me realize that this series makes me feel more hopeful when I struggle through harder, exhausting moments and ordeals.
