About Me

Hello. I'm Laura Drake. As you know this is my first year at Palomares.  I feel truly fortunate to have the opportunity to be your child's 4th Grade teacher on this beautiful campus with our incredible community of educators and families . 

I've been in the field of education for 28 years, in preschool education and Administration, working for a nonprofit for parent education and outreach, substitute teaching in K-5 in San Antonio, TX, to teaching for the last 12 years in the Oakland Unified School District.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and am so happy to raise my son in the Bay as well.  My son, Darren will be 17 years old this October and is starting his Junior year at San Ramon Valley High.
