about
Seth A Smith is a Canadian interdisciplinary artist with working in film, music, sound design, printmaking and visual art. His films have screened at top festivals around the world, won awards and are often praised for their surrealist style. Outside of filmmaking, Seth is most known as the front-man and songwriter of the band Dog Day. His other audio projects include solo work, composing for film, sound-art and design, as well as collaborations with other artists including Nancy Urich, and Chad VanGaalen. In visual art, his main focus is in screenprinting, a large amount of which has been in collaboration with Paul Hammond under the name Yorodeo. Together their work--an ongoing anaglyphic 3D series, paper-sculptures, art prints and gigposters--have adorned galleries and telephone poles across Canada and the US.
