Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Room 42! My name is Winnie Jiang and I will be your child’s fourth grade teacher this year. As we embark on a new and exciting school year, I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself. I've been with the Cupertino Union School District since 2004, mostly teaching Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades. As an educator, my goal is to inspire all students to love learning by providing a cooperative, respectful, and student-centered learning environment. A place where students will feel welcome, safe, productive, and challenged daily. Students are active participants in their learning and are continually challenged to do their best. I hope to cultivate a growth mindset with all students – the belief that success and achievements stem from dedication, hard work, perseverance, and reflections, while challenges and setbacks offer an opportunity to grow and stretch our abilities.

Throughout my educational experiences, I’ve come to see the importance of parental involvement in a student’s success in education. I truly believe that your child receives the best education possible when teachers and parents work together as a team. Communication is very important to me. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything I can do to support your child to ensure fourth grade is a successful year.
