Kennedy Middle School PTA
Welcome Kennedy Middle Families to the 2026/ 2027 School Year!
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a 125-year-old nationwide organization. Kennedy PTA is part of the California State PTA chapter. It’s the organization of parents and teachers, by parents and teachers, that supports our school’s effort to raise children into well-rounded, empathetic adults.
PTA is invested in the social and educational programs for children. PTA understands the importance of family engagement in schools and communities.
PTA advocates for the Whole Child program, as does Cupertino Union School District (CUSD).
Kennedy PTA supports various programs in Kennedy. Programs that can enrich our kids but cannot be funded through regular channels.
PTA tries to fill the gap for our school. These programs can be directly for kids and they can be for teachers and infrastructure.
PTA President’s Note
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are joining our school community for the first time or returning, we are thrilled to have you here. On behalf of the Kennedy Middle School PTA, I extend a warm welcome to all of you. Middle school is a fast-paced season of growth and independence, and our PTA works to enhance that experience directly.
Over the past year, in collaboration with the school administration and with the support of our amazing parents, the PTA funded and supported key programs, including classroom technology and software upgrades, teacher classroom grants, student clubs and activities, leadership training, staff appreciation events, and school dances. This year, our main goals are to:
Upgrade Classroom Technology & Infrastructure: Provide updated hardware, software tools, and facility enhancements to ensure modern and accessible learning.
Fund Student Enrichment & Teacher Grants: Ensure our students have opportunities to learn and grow, and provide our educators with the classroom supplies, club support, and program funding they need throughout the year.
Strengthen Volunteer & Fundraising Support: Increase parent involvement - either on campus or from home - and meet our annual fundraising target to keep these essential programs running.
We cannot achieve any of this without our parent community's support. Whether you can volunteer an hour at an event, assist behind the scenes, or contribute to our fundraising efforts, every contribution directly impacts our students.
-- Sabitha Krishnamurthy, President, Kennedy Middle School PTA
