It was another beautiful day in Cupertino as our fifth grade students and parents came to drop off their luggage and bags.
Parents and students hugged and said their goodbyes as the students jetted off to enjoy the week they have been waiting for all year long.
The students sat in the campfire area and learned all about their new home for the week.
After receiving their instructions, the students quickly grabbed all of their gear and headed for the dorms.
Once they had all of their luggage, the students raced to the dorms to find the perfect bunk for the week.
After the students have chosen a bunk and put everything away, our incredible field guides give the students some final advice and information before sending them off to meet their hiking groups.
Each day, before heading out on another amazing adventure, the students sit and discuss the mind map. The mind map lays out their group's plans and lets the kids know what they have to look forward to throughout the day.
Each year, the students bring their stuffed animals to camp to help support them during that first night away from home. The animals this year were amazing and Mr. Casey had a great time choosing the winner.
