Rising Sophomores

Greetings Class of 2021!

I hear you are a group of hard workers and eager learners, so I am excited to work with you next year in English 10 and Honors English 10. Below is a list of books with common themes of integrity, patriotism, citizenship, courage, commitment, and sacrifice: all traits of the United States Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Please peruse the list, click the links, and choose one you’ll love. I ask that you read and annotate the book (on post-it notes, in a notebook, or right in the book if you own it). Be sure your annotations summarize what you read, and try to also focus on any of the themes listed above. We will start right up in August with your reactions to the title you chose.
