Remember, we want to get away from the uninspired traditional way of presenting information. One way to do this is how we display bulleted lists.
Pro Tip: Each bullet point in a list should have VERY minimal text and only one bullet point should appear on the screen at a time. When you place all bullet points on the screen at once, the audience is either feverishly writing them all down or reading all of them to themselves while you're talking. This means they aren't listening to you!
The traditional way of animating bullet points is also the harder way. Each bullet point has to be within its own text box and each of those text boxes need its own animation as well. To insert an animation, select INSERT from the menu and choose ANIMATION. You can see how this might become cumbersome if you have multiple text boxes on top of one another, and each with their own animation!
PRO TIP: Extra slides are free. Instead of inserting animations on individual text boxes within the same slide, just duplicate the slide and change the text on each one. When presenting the slide deck, this will still give the illusion of an animation.
