What We Do
Meetings: At meetings, we go over club information, learn about a variety of different animals (domestic animals, farm animals, wildlife) and figure out ways to help them. Scroll down to see other events, guest speakers, trips, fundraisers and parties that we do. ⬇️
Events / Guest Speakers
Events are when we have a guest come to Wheaton North! A few events we have had in the past:
Comfort Dogs (emotional support therapy dogs) -We had therapy dogs come in for members to pet
K-9 Police Dogs - A police team came in with police dogs and discussed their jobs
K.A.R.E. Wildlife - We got to see an owl from KARE for Wildlife
DuPage County Animal Services - brought in a rescue puppy and explained how to foster a pet.
Trips
Trips are when we go other places as a club! Some past trips:
Cat Guardians and played with cats
Cosley Zoo
St. Sophia's & A.R.F. (local cat/dog shelters)
Fundraisers
We do fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for animals! Past fundraisers:
We collect money and supplies during the Pet Supplies Drive at Jewel Osco in the fall and spring
We washed cars to raise money for ARF
Parties
We also have a few parties each year where we have snacks and do fun activities!
