Crew also took a large part in the show, including:
Lucy Porick and Julian Rainville for sound.
Aida Stipanuk, Annika Miller, and Julia Troha backstage for props, curtains, lights, and mics.
Gloria Zimmerman and Lauren Augustine on front stage lights.
Lauren Augustine for piano/piano mic.
And, lastly, Aida Stipanuk, Julia Troha, Gloria Zimmerman, Lauren Augustine, and Annika Miller for publicity.
Being one of the members of the crew, I might be slightly biased, but I would say that the show would not be able to happen without us because we do basically everything and barely even get a mention at the end of the show for all of our helpfulness! A bit ungrateful, if you ask me.
Also there’s the Emcees, who entertained the crowd between acts:
Ellie Troupos, Jahnavi Maryanski, Levi Mandley, and Jackson Carter.
(By the way, all of those comments below each act are from fellow students.)
And lastly, can’t forget, a huge thanks to Mrs. Fisher and Mrs. Hasenjaeger for making all of this possible!
The Fall Play
By: Gloria
11/02/22
The fall play has been going on for a few weeks now, and I think it’s time that I go over a little more about it. The play is led by Mrs. Fowler and Mrs. Alvarado. The former a 7th grade English teacher and the latter a 6th. Mrs. Dabelow not directing it this year is due to some medical issues on her end. (We all hope you get better, Mrs. Dabelow!)
The play we are doing is called The Enchanted Bookshop and is about a scatter-brained bookstore owner who has some trouble with burglars. In The Enchanted Bookshop, book characters come to life and try to help stop the robbers without being seen. Characters include Tom Sawyer, Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, Dorothy, the queen of hearts, and many more.
The play is coming along great and as a cast member it is so fun to see it progress. Currently we are just starting costumes. There are some really funny scenes, especially with Bomburlina, the mischievous cat, played by Isabel, and the robbers, Eddie and Fingers, played by Amelia and Felicity. All the roles were casted perfectly, and I encourage all to come. The dates are December 6th and 8th, and the time is 7pm on both nights. For all attending Franklin it’s free, but for anyone over fourteen years of age it’s only $5, so invite your family!

It has been 26 days since I wrote that, and I still love the play. Lines are almost completely memorized, and the costumes are sooo fun. I’m finding it more and more enjoyable every time I watch it and that’s just rehearsals! Y’all should come.
