Where is prom this year?
Prom is at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
What time is prom?
We will meet at Wheaton North at 5:00 pm. We will take coach buses to and from MSI. Buses will leave WN promptly at 5:30 pm arriving to MSI around 7:00 pm and departing at 11:30 pm.
Do I have to ride the coach bus or can I drive myself to the Museum of Science and Industry?
You MUST ride the bus to and from MSI. You are NOT allowed to find your own transportation to/from the museum.
What if I miss the bus?
Sorry! You will not be allowed in at Prom. If you are late to WN and do not get on the bus, you will not be allowed in at Prom and you will miss all the fun. And there are no refunds!
How do I buy a ticket?
You first need to register for a ticket. However, registration does not guarantee you a ticket or a ticket price. You will need to bring your money (cash or check) to Mrs. Nilles in the Activities office during your lunch hour on the designated days. The day you bring your money in determines your ticket price.
Then how do I register for a ticket? Can I register anytime?
You must register using the link. (Click here to register.) You are only registering yourself unless you are bringing a guest from another school. But first, you need to have a permission slip completed and signed by your guardian to upload into the Google Registration Form. Permission slips can also be found in the Activities office.
Everyone attending Prom will need to have a permission slip completed and signed by their guardian.
Can I ride the same bus as my friends/date?
Yes. When you register for your ticket, you will sign up for a bus. You will need to coordinate with your friends/date/guest to select the bus you want to ride. Please keep in mind, once a bus in full, you cannot add any more seats. Your group may need to split up. Once you register for a bus, you WILL NOT be able to change to another bus at a later date.
When can I turn in my money?
Money (cash or check) will only be collected during lunch hours on the following days:
Wednesday, April 5 - $125/ticket
Tuesday, April 11th - $125/ticket
Wednesday, April 19 - $130/ticket
Wednesday, April 26 - $140/ticket
Please make checks payable to Wheaton North High School. The student ID# should be on the memo line.
Where can I turn in my money?
Money (cash or check) can be turned in at the Activities office across from the cafeteria.
Can I bring a guest from another school?
Yes! Guest forms must be complete when registering for your tickets. Both the guest's school and a Wheaton North Dean need to sign the guest form, so be sure you are allowing plenty of time for both schools to process. Guest form can be found here.
Once completed and signed, you will upload the guest form to the Google Registration form.
Will dinner be served?
Yes! Dinner will be a buffet with menu items such as Build your own Taco or Torta, Baked Cavatappi Pasta, Farfalle, Mini Meatballs, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread Sticks, Chicago-Style Chopped Salad, Miniature Vienna Hot Dogs, and House Pizza Party Slices.
Can I take my shoes off at Prom and go barefoot?
No! Due to health code, you will need to wear some sort of shoe (dress shoes, high heels, flip flops, slides, Converse, Vans, etc.). The museum staff will strongly enforce this rule.
Can I bring a bag or a purse?
No. You can have a small clutch/wristlet, but no larger bags of any kind will be allowed on the bus.
Can I request a song?
Yes. Click on this link to request a song. Please remember songs MUST be appropriate!
