Georges Seurat was the most famous artist to use pointillism. He used tiny dots of paint to make huge paintings. He only made a few paintings, as he died when he was only 31 years old. Sunday Afternoon on the Island of the Grand Jatte is his most famous painting, and is huge and hangs at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Here is an example of student work. The artist used at least 3 different blacks and grays for the lipstick case, three different pinks and reds for the lipstick, and multiple colors in the background. Pick different colors to use in each section, or it will be hard to tell what your object is.
