Hello! My name is Mrs. Kirk and I am so excited to be your STEM teacher! For seven years I was lucky enough to teach 8th grade science at Triad Middle School.  I then tried my hand at elementary, but missed science way too much.  I have been waiting for  a science job in Collinsville so I could return to my Kahok roots, and it FINALLY happened!  This is my eighth year teaching at CMS.

My students usually like hearing about my family. We are a little crazy! My husband's name is Doug and he is the Assistant Principal at Collinsville High School.  I have a 14 year old daughter, Ella, who loves to play tennis, hang out with her friends and swim. My son, Easton, is 12 years old and he loves baseball, basketball, and chess! Finally, I have twin 9-year-old boys named Nate and Nolan. They keep us very active as they run, jump, and climb and wrestle ALL THE TIME!  They are also obsessed with Minecraft and Roblox. 

As a family, we enjoy attending as many Kahok events as possible and adventuring outside!

¡Hola! Me llamo Sra. Kirk y estoy muy emocionada de ser su maestra de STEM. Durante siete años tuve la suerte de enseñar ciencias a estudiantes de octavo grado en la escuela secundaria Triad. Luego probé suerte en la primaria, pero extrañé demasiado las ciencias. He estado esperando un trabajo en ciencias en Collinsville para poder regresar a mis raíces Kahok, ¡y por fin lo conseguí! Este es mi octavo año enseñando en CMS.

A mis alumnos les suele gustar saber de mi familia. ¡Somos un poco locos! Mi esposo se llama Doug y es el subdirector de la escuela secundaria Collinsville. Tengo una hija de 14 años, Ella, a quien le encanta jugar al tenis, salir con sus amigos y nadar. Mi hijo, Easton, tiene 12 años y le encanta el béisbol, el baloncesto y el ajedrez. Por último, tengo gemelos de 9 años llamados Nate y Nolan. Nos mantienen muy activos: corren, saltan, trepan y luchan ¡TODO EL TIEMPO! También están obsesionados con Minecraft y Roblox. Como familia, disfrutamos asistir a tantos eventos de Kahok como sea posible y aventurarnos al aire libre.
