Project Timeline

• September 2019

  • District 10 was asked to participate in Illinois’s Inclusion TA Grant proposal as one of the initial implementers

• November 2019

  • Illinois was informed that our state was chosen to participate in the federal Technical Assistance grant

• February-April 2020:

  • District 10 PreK and Riverbend Head Start & Family Services were identified as implementation sites for the Inclusion TA project

  • Members received Preschool Inclusion Toolbox (Barton & Smith, 2015)

• May-August 2020

  • Riverbend Head Start and District10 staff participate in calls during May and June to discuss what a CIT is, what it does, plan to recruit members, establish monthly meeting schedules, meeting logistics and early steps

  • District 10 and Riverbend Head Start staff participate in Monthly ECTA Webinars (Topics from Inclusion Toolbox to support implementation) that begin in August.

• February 2021

  • District and Head Start began working toward the implementation of itinerant special education services being provided at the Collinsville Head Start facility
