Dr. Mahender Khatravath received his BSc and M.Sc. in Organic chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, and Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad (Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS), an associate institute of the University of Hyderabad) under the supervision of professor Prabhat Arya in 2016. Subsequently, he has been a post-doctoral fellow with Dr. D. Srinivasa Reddy (Current Director, CSIR-IICT), at CSIR-NCL-Pune (1.5 years) and with Dr. Ch. Raji Reddy (CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad) with a short time stay with 7 months. Then, in 2018 he joined in Transcell Oncologics Pvt. Ltd, as a research scientist where he was actively involved in the medicinal chemistry programme to invent new leads for the undruggable targets (K-RAS, C-myc, and Wnt). He took up a Assistant Professor position at the Deportment Chemistry, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, India in 2019.  Dr. Khatravath research group focuses on synthesis of bio-active natural products, design, and development of new synthetic methodologies via alkyne activation.
