Being a custom in the town to commemorate March 16 as the day of "La Insurrección Comunera", the institution seeks to highlight the importance of this armed uprising, its significance and cultural value for Socorro. Therefore, a flag hoist organized by the sixth grade students was carried out on August 14 at 6:30 am, in which songs were presented, commemorations of characteristic characters of that event and the story that unleashed a revolution.

Knowing the historical value of this day, recognition was given to all the students who took the courage and leadership necessary to participate as candidates in the recent elections.

Receiving a Colombian flag on their uniforms and lined up in front of the entire educational community, the candidates were celebrated by the hymns of the nation, the department and the municipality as a symbol of appreciation and motivation for their efforts.

To end the event, those elected to the school government from third grade to legal representation took office. Guided by the rector Antonio David Silva Cala and in the presence of the voters, they swore to carry out their work in the most beneficial and enriching way for the entire school. Our representative, Keren Quintero, had the last word, giving a hopeful speech that ensured the fulfillment of the proposed goals for 2023.

Siendo una costumbre en el pueblo conmemorar el 16 de marzo como el día de “La Insurrección Comunera”, la institución busca resaltar la importancia de este levantamiento armado, su trascendencia y valor cultural para el Socorro. Por ende, se llevó a cabo una izada de bandera organizada por los estudiantes de sexto grado el día 14 de agosto a las 6:30 am, en la cual se presentaron coplas, conmemoraciones a personajes característicos de aquel suceso y la historia que desató una revolución.

Conociendo el valor histórico de este día, se dio un reconocimiento a todos los estudiantes que tomaron la valentía y liderazgo necesarios para participar como candidatos en las recientes elecciones.

Recibiendo una bandera de Colombia en sus uniformes y formados frente a toda la comunidad educativa, los candidatos fueron celebrados por los himnos de la nación, el departamento y el municipio como símbolo de apreciación y motivación a su esfuerzo.

Para finalizar el evento, los elegidos al gobierno escolar desde grado tercero hasta personería tomaron posesión de su cargo. Guiados por el rector Antonio David Silva Cala y en presencia de los votantes, juraron ejercer su labor de la forma más beneficiosa y enriquecedora para todo el colegio. Nuestra personera, Keren Quintero tuvo la última palabra, dando un discurso esperanzador que aseguraba el cumplimiento de las metas propuestas para el 2023.
