Katie Koch

My name is Katie Koch, and I am an educator residing in northeastern North Carolina. While education is what I do for work, my passion lies in helping others. As an administrator and classroom teacher, I strive to empower teachers and to enable students to be successful in their academic endeavors while gaining a love of learning. Throughout my own learning (both educationally and on-the-job), I have discovered that school is not the same as it once was and the expectations for our students have changed. With this in mind, my goal is to guide student development (socially and emotionally) so that they are ready to meet the high academic demands that are placed upon them.

As I continue my work in the field of education, it is my hope to further meet the needs of both students and educators by creating opportunities for individual strengths and personalities to shine. I want students to be able to perform to the best of their ability with the tools necessary for their success while allowing educators to do what they do best - teach! If strong understanding and expectations are in place, hopefully students will be in a classroom environment in which they can thrive and be excited to be a part of on a daily basis.
