Schedules:
Depending on the day you have Library Media STEM class below are a list of dates your library book is due.
Every other class time, you will be checking out a library book. The schedule is attached. Please return your library book on this day. Every other class time is shaded in. These selected dates are considered “Library Days”. It is at this time we will be checking out and returning books. If a book is not returned, you will not be able to take out an additional book. All students are allowed to take out one book. This calendar is also posted in your Google Classroom for grades 1-5.
Research supports that borrowing library books and materials can teach children about responsibility. This includes things like returning borrowed items on time, caring for them, and understanding the importance of respecting library resources. The experience of borrowing and returning fosters an understanding of personal responsibility and builds good habits for managing resources in the future throught their lifetime.
Please keep to the above schedules to know when library books are due. If the date is highlighted, then it is a library week. Students will also keep a copy of this schedule in the back of their Dolphin folder.
If a student does not retrun a book, they will not be able to take out an additional book until the prior book is returned.
