• The Department received nearly Rs. 65 Lakh amount in terms of the PhD Students Projects fellowships like DST, CSIR, UGC-MANF etc.

• Organized  Three Day National Level Workshops in CUK: 03

• Organized every year National Mathematics Day and three times celebrated International Mathematics Day in CUK.

• The Department arranged the invited talks (nearly 75) from the eminent scholars in the different fields of Mathematics.

• The Department of Mathematics invited the International Faculty (Prof.  Jozef Brestenský & Prof. Brestenska, Comenius University, Slovak Republic) in the year 2017.

• The faculty of Dept. of Mathematics delivered Invited lectures in various reputed institutions.

• M.Sc. Students from CUK Qualified in CSIR NET JRF: 09

• M.Sc. Students Secured DST-Inspire Fellowships: 05

• Established the Permanent Computing Laboratory with 50 computers along with computational software's in the year 2019

• Established the Computational Fluid Dynamics (with 17 workstations) and Nano-modelling Laboratories.

MSc Students Achievements (This information is given by the past students studied MSc in CUK who are settled in teaching and research fields)

•  Dr. Ashwin Kumar (2012-14) completed his PhD from Gulbarga University. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in Krishna Devaraya University, Bellary.

• Dr. Mahesh Kumar (2012-14 Batch) completed his PhD from Central University of Karnataka. Also, he is a recipient of DST-INSPIRE FELLOWSHIP AWARD under the supervision of Dr. G. Janardhana Reddy. Further, he received a gold medal prize from the President of India for his outstanding achievement being a topper in M.Sc. Mathematics.

• Ms. Ashwini Hiremath (2013-15) joined PhD Program in CUK. Also, she is a recipient of DST-INSPIRE FELLOWSHIP AWARD under the supervision of Dr. G. Janardhana Reddy. Further, she received a gold medal prize from the President of India for her outstanding achievement being a topper in M.Sc. Mathematics.

• Ms. Sehra Sahu (2014-16 Batch) joined PhD program in NIT Surathkal. She was the topper in MSc Mathematics.

• Ms. Archana Bhat (2015-17 Batch) joined PhD program in NIT Warangal. She was the topper in MSc Mathematics.

• Mr. Suresha SP (2015-17 Batch) joined PhD Program in CUK. He is qualified in CSIR-UGC NET JRF Examination and working under the supervision of Dr. G. Janardhana Reddy.

• Mr. Sourav Bera (2016-18 Batch) joined PhD program in NIT Warangal. He was the topper in MSc Mathematics.

• Mr. Alok Barman (2016-18 Batch) joined PhD program in Gourban University, West Bengal. He is qualified in CSIR-UGC NET JRF Examination.

• Mr. Ullas R S (2016-18 Batch) appointed as an Assistant Professor in Kerala University. He is qualified in CSIR-UGC NET JRF Examination.

• Mr. Rafeek K V (2017-19 Batch) joined PhD program in CUK. He was the topper in MSc Mathematics and qualified in CSIR NET, CUCET PhD examinations. Recently, he has been awarded with DST-INSPIRE Fellowship under the supervision of Dr. G. Janardhana Reddy. Also, he selected for this award under the tough competitive situation during Covid times.

• Ms. Mahalaxmi (2015-17 Batch) was awarded PhD from Gulbarga University.

• Mr. Jeevan Kumar (2015-17 Batch), Ms. Athira V S (2019-21 Batch), Mr.  Aadhithyan B (2019-21 Batch) joined for PhD program in CUK.

Faculty Achievements

• On 6th June 2015, Dr. G Janardhana Reddy had been recognized as President's Inspired Teacher Award by the Former President of India, Shri Dr. Pranab Mukherjee. He stayed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi for a week as part of the invited in-residence program for Inspired Teachers by the President.

• Dr. N. Sandeep listed in Top 2% most cited researchers in the World published by Stanford University, USA in the years 2020-24.

• Dr. Ranganatha D. received Indian Mathematical Society Prize for Best Research Paper in Number Theory in 2020.

• Dr. N. Sandeep received Best Research Award at CUK in 2022.

• Dr. G Janardhana Reddy received Best Research Publication Award at CUK in 2023.

• Dr. Sreenivasulu Ballem received the patent on “Plastic Mold Mechanism for Producing Angled Pipes” from the Government of India, Design No:423971-001 in 2024.
