My name is Krystynia (Christina) Vanderwall, and I am the proud owner of Cubbie’s Kiddie Academy. My husband and I purchased the center on Halloween of 2025, and we are so excited to see where this new chapter takes us.
I have been in the early childhood education field for about 15 years and have worn many hats throughout my career—teacher, center director, education coordinator, and substitute teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, which have strengthened my passion and commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for young children.
Building meaningful relationships with children and watching them grow is truly the heart of what I do. I love seeing our little ones progress through our program from 6 weeks old all the way to kindergarten, and it’s always a special moment when former students return to visit and share their “big school” adventures.
My husband and I have been married since 2022 and together since 2015. We have three children—Natalie (8), Rylie (2), and a baby boy due in May/June of 2026. You may see them around the center from time to time! We also share our home with two dogs: Cubbie, our yellow lab, and Roxxy, our Siberian husky.
We truly love being a family-run business. It allows us to offer a warm, personal, and connected experience that we believe sets Cubbie’s Kiddie Academy apart. We are grateful to be part of your child’s early learning journey and look forward to building strong relationships with each of our families.
My name is Travis Vanderwall, and I am the owner of Cubbie’s Kiddie Academy. I bring over 10 years of experience in business management and administration.
In the fall of 2025, my wife and I opened Cubbie’s Kiddie Academy with a shared vision of creating a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for children and families. While I continue my full-time career in business management, I am actively involved in ownership decisions and supporting the center’s operations and long-term growth.
Family is very important to me. I am a proud husband and father of two children, with a third child joining our family in June. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs, staying active, and being outdoors. I play in the Northern Illinois Baseball League during the summer, participate in softball, and enjoy fishing, kayaking, and hunting duck, geese, and deer. I also have a passion for video games.
I am proud to be part of the Cubbie’s Kiddie Academy community and grateful for the opportunity to support children’s growth and partner with families as they begin their early education journey.
