Friends, I am beyond honored to be serving as the Bell Society's first President and start a much-needed organization on campus to help people get internships they deserve and provide programming that teaches people how to network properly and have resumes that not only land them that internship they want but also that job they are looking for as well. This is a great way to not only give back but also create a community where people feel welcome and can have fun.
When I got my first internship on the Hill, I remember the exhilarating acceptance email. There was no way I would have gotten there if I had not had the proper resume, cover letter, and writing sample. Despite everyone who helped me get there, I should have been more supported by the school with a more straightforward path on how to do it.
Named after the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, this club aims to change that for the better by being ambitious, undertaking innovative initiatives, and serving every student. What we are embarking on has never been done before, but it is worth it, and we need it. It is time to get down to business!
