"Tumbleweed"
"Tumbleweed"

"Tumbleweed" is a fictional poem; I wrote it to express my deep interest in the Southwest, which I went to in the spring of 2018. This poem serves as a dedication for that trip.
It bounces on the ground like an egg,
Yet the wind blows it ever so softly.
Its seeds fall on the ground and lay
There to grow more tumbleweed.
Â
I imagine at best
Walking in the middle of the desert,
Seeing tumbleweed rolling west,
Not knowing where the dry ball will make its final rest.
