Friedrich Nietzsche was an atheistic German philosopher well known for his theories regarding God in society, the idea of the ubermensch (a man who, in enforcing the Law is above the Law, and therefore not bound by it), and for his pithy writing style.
These two Greek letters are the phonetic first sounds of the phrase “pseudo-philosophy,” essentially meaning that, in trying to do something so contrary to nature, Wilkins has stooped below philosophy itself.
