Association for Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers Conference

During Fall 2025 Maeve held an internship with the Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers (ALSCW). This unique internship opportunity is open to Catholic University English majors each fall and in addition to assisting with and attending the annual conference (which was held at The Ohio State University this year), interns learn about and gain experience in editing and publishing under the direct supervision of the Editor-in-Chief of Literary Matters.

"I had a great time helping out at the ALSCW conference! I'm especially grateful for getting to meet and interact with so many academics and scholars of English literature, as well as many independent thinkers outside of academia. I also was able to attend a few panels, and I was impressed with all the presentations! I really enjoyed becoming more familiar with literary culture during the course of the conference!"
