Student Editorial Board
Student Editorial Board 2023-24
Members of the Student Editorial Board are responsible for the production and promotion of the journal each year. The Board is comprised of the Editor-in-Chief, the Associate Editor, the Managing Editor, the Layout Editor, Head Copyeditor, Media Editors and Web Content Editors, as well as their assistants. These students have gone through a rigorous application and interview process.

Editor- in-Chief
Trinity Ruiz
Trinity is a junior Philosophy Pre-Law major with minors in English and Theology from North Beach, Maryland. Outside of the Inventio S.E.B., Trinity is an undergraduate writing tutor, and is involved with Campus Ministry. During her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, spending time with friends and family, and observing where dramatic films meet philosophy/theology. After university, she hopes to attend law school, in hopes to subsequently practice Disability Law and work in policy journalism.
Associate Editor
Matt Engelhaupt
Matt is a senior Philosophy Pre-Law major from Ellicott City, Maryland. He is also involved with Best Buddies, Quattro Chiacchiere, and Freshman Orientation. In his free time, Matthew likes to hike, camp, and cook.
Managing Editor
Isaac Krom
Isaac is a sophomore Philosophy and Mathematics major with a minor in Writing from Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Outside of Inventio, Isaac is involved with residence life as a resident assistant and the writing center as an undergraduate tutor. He also enjoys playing the piano, hiking, reading, and going to Mass. Oh, and, of course, he loves to bake Pains au Chocolat.

Mia Beldner
Mia is a sophomore American Politics Pre-Law major with minors in English, Psychology, and Philosophy from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Apart from Inventio, she is involved with Mock Trial, NeW, the Honors Program, and she interns at the CUA Press.

Lauren McGinn
Lauren is a junior Philosophy Pre-Law and Anthropology double major with a Writing minor from Rolesville, North Carolina. She is on the Catholic University Women’s Rowing Team and with the time she has left happily attends all events having to do with philosophy and/or English. In her free time she drinks a detrimental amount of coffee. She has read and re-read the Symposium. She writes silly stories and has terrible dance parties with her best friend. She is also kind of an exercise junkie-- she rows and does triathlons whenever she can.

Isabela Barboza
Isabela is a sophomore Psychological and Brain Sciences and Philosophy double major from Clarion, Pennsylvania. On campus she is involved as a Cardinal Ambassador, a Co-Event Coordinator for the Thomistic Institute, a member of the Honors Program, a research assistant in the Suicide Prevention Research Lab, and Campus Ministry. In her free time she loves trying new foods and doing absolutely anything that involves sunshine.

Damiana Zabrowski
Damiana is a sophomore Nursing major with a minor in Philosophy from Peoria, Illinois. Outside of Inventio, she is an ambassador for the Honors Program, and is involved in the Catholic University Women’s Rowing Team, the Catholic University club sailing team, the Medieval Society, and the Thomistic Institute at CUA. She also tutors for first-year philosophy and theology, as well as microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and chemistry. In her free time she likes to paint, workout, sing, and write poetry.

Michael Coppola
Michael is a junior Politics major from Ashburn, Virginia with a minor in History. Michael is a member of the Catholic University Swim Team and the Cornerstone Program. He also likes to spend time following sports and hanging out with his friends.

Mary Margaret is a junior English major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with minors in Writing and Media Studies and Communications. Mary Margaret is also involved as an Honors Ambassador and a self-proclaimed hard-working Mullen Library employee. In her free time you will find her running or spending time with friends.

Matt Cutrona
Matt is a Junior Politics major with a double minor in Sports Management and Philosophy from New York City, New York. Matt is involved in Campus Ministry, Mock Trial, and is currently interning with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Laudato Si’ Advocates Program. In his free time, if he has any, you can find Matt enjoying all things baseball such as playing it, conducting research about it, and talking about it.
