Submit Applications through the NSF ETAP System (https://etap.nsf.gov/) from 14 November, 2025 until 30 January, 2026
FIRST & SECOND ROUND APPLICATIONS:
Review of applications will continue until all REU positions are filled.
The Physics REU sites directors will utilize a common deadline March, 2026, for students to accept or decline first round offers at domestic (non-international) sites. Sites may send offers to students at any time before this, but students will not be required to decide before March , 2026*. Because of necessary organizational lead time, international REU sites may require earlier acceptance dates.

Currently enrolled as 1st , 2nd, or 3rd year undergraduate at a college or university with a major applicable to research done at Catholic University
A U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
Available to work the full duration of the internship (ten consecutive weeks) at The Catholic University in Washington, DC, beginning on the start date listed above
