SWACHH BHARAT DAY
On 24-05-2022 , The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Cell conducted ‘Swachh Bharat Day'. On this occasion Dr. Sumukhi Padmanabhan, Librarian, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women, was the Chief Guest for the day.
All the 20 Volunteers were awarded with the Certificates for successfully finishing their 33 hours of Internship Programme.
SWACHH BHARATH ABIYAAN CLUB

The SBA Cell team visited St. Mary’s Matric Higher Secondary School at Redhills. The College bus, with the 18 participants along with one Faculty Co-ordinator Dr. A. Thasleem Banu, started at 10.00 a.m.
18 volunteers engaged with all the Standard VII school students. They went to each class and created an awareness about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Cell & its objective.
The students have all taken a pledge for keeping the surroundings hygienic and clean.

On 12/04/2022 , the SBA Cell team visited to St. Mary’s Girls Higher Secondary School, Perambur branch. The College bus with the 16 participants along with one Faculty Co-ordinator Dr. A. Thasleem Banu, started at 10.00 a.m.
16 volunteers engaged with all the Standard IX school students.
They went to each class and created the awareness on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Cell & its objective.
They have all taken pledge for keeping the surroundings hygienic & clean.

On 11/04/2022 , the SBA Cell team visited to St. Mary’s Boys Higher Secondary School, Perambur branch. The College bus with the 17 participants along with one Faculty Co-ordinator Dr. A. Thasleem Banu, started at 10.00 a.m.

On 08/04/2022 , The SBA Cell Volunteers accompolished the task of cleaning outside the Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College Premises.
The 18 student volunteers were divided into groups who cleaned outside the College.

On 07/04/2022 , The SBA Cell Volunteers accomplished the task of cleaning the Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College Premises. The 19 student volunteers were divided into 5 groups and sectioned in all the areas of the College.
On 16-03-2022 , The Swachh Bharat Coordinator Shalini . R was inspecting the New as well as Alumini Canteen. It was found that the worker in charge of making lemon juice was squeezing lemons without wearing any gloves. It was also found that the canteen was untidy. This was reported to the SBA Faculty Co-ordinator Dr. A. Thasleem Banu who ensured that requisite action was carried out.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM REPORT

The SBA cell had started an Internship Program on 04-12-2021 for 15 days . As a part of this all the 17 Volunteers of SBA Cell had cleaned the College laboratories - Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Computer Application labs.

MONITORING THE COLLEGE NEW CANTEEN
On 20-10-2021 Wednesday Swatch Bharat Faculty coordinator Dr. A. Thasleem Banu and students Coordinator Shalini.R - III B.com (G) inspected the College canteen to check the cleanliness and hygiene of the food and also monitored the canteen employees during their preparation. All the food was closed and covered in a proper manner . The staff were wearing masks and also insisted that the students wear it .
AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON MENSTRUAL HYGIENE
The Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan Cell had conducted an Awareness Programme on ‘‘Menstrual Hygiene" on 03-09-2021 from 5.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m through Google meet.
Dr. S. RAJESWARI, Consultant Preventive Oncologist, Colposcopy Specialist, Gleneagles Global Health City, Perumbakkam, was the Chief Guest. 61 students of Std VI , VII & VIII from St. Mary Girls Higher Secondary School from Perambur branch also participated.
The Chief Guest Dr. A. Rajeswari spoke about the Menstrual Hygiene Management ( MHM) & explained the importance of Menstrual Day & also the challenges faced by the females during this duration. She also highlighted the home based remedies to relieve from the stomach cramps.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan Cell had conducted an Orientation Programme on ‘ Clean India , Green India ‘ on 05-08-2021 from 3.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m through Google meet.
Dr. A. Kasthuri , Assistant Professor , Department of Tamil of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College For Women was the Chief Guest for the day. There were total 19 responses for the event.
The Chief Guest Dr. A. Kasthuri had spoke about the purpose of Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan & its benefits for the society & individual, about the various Programmes , workshops & fieldworks to be conducted in the SBA Cell.
