2023 YALSA Top Ten Best Fiction
Directions: You are responsible for completing one of the projects below based on a book your read from the hyperlinks above.
Choose a book only from the 2023 list
Choose one of the books from the reading lists that interests you.
Go to your local library, use your SORA account, OR purchase a copy of a book you’d like to read from the links above.
Read the book and select a project you’d like to complete for each.
Hand in the completed book assignment between August 30th and September 7th to Ms. Scalia in the Library Media Center. No projects will be accepted after September 7th.
Students who turn in assignments by the due date will receive credit in their English class.
Grading Criteria for Pass/Fail:
Each project will have a cover page with the following: Cover Page
Projects that meet at least 4 of 5 requirements receive a passing score.
Projects that meet 3 or less of the requirements OR that are not turned in receive failing scores.

This opportunity allows you to illustrate your creativity. Do your best. This is also a great assignment activity to add to your student portfolio in the future.
For the book talk, you need to create a detailed 5 minute or more video of the book you read.
