Every student, every day, every class. Attendance matters because YOU matter.
This year, teachers will be taking attendance in PowerSchool each class period. If you are home, make sure you log in to Google Classroom by 7:20 and follow your schedule in PowerSchool for the day.
Questions or concerns about attendance? Reach out to Mr. Grossman at jonathan.grossman@cttech.org.
You will receive numerical grades and assignments will have due dates.
Use your class time effectively. Take notes during instruction, work on assignments, and ask questions when you are unsure.
Double-check Google Classroom before you log off at the end of the day to make sure you've completed your work.
Use the "To-Do" feature in Google Classroom to check for any unfinished assignments.
Check your grades in PowerSchool regularly.
Talk with your teachers if you need extra time, need help, have questions, or fall behind. If you are having trouble communicating your needs to your teachers or are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to your school counselor, case manager, or other trusted adult.
Masks are required every day. They should cover your mouth and nose at all times. No neck gaiters or bandanas, please.
Follow the directional signs throughout the building. Try to keep six feet of space between you and others whenever possible.
Water fountains and lockers will not be available this year. Bring a bag to carry everything you need for the day, including your charged Chromebook. Don't forget to bring a filled water bottle from home.
During Shop Cycles, you will eat your meals in your trade classroom. In Academics, you will eat in smaller groups in the cafeteria. Follow all signs and staff instructions to ensure social distancing. Lunch options will be limited.
Follow your schedule in PowerSchool to make sure you don't get marked absent. Log into Google Classroom and follow the instructions for attendance each period. You need to attend every class, including Academic Access.
Class at home will be more like class at school. If your teacher has scheduled a Google Meet, you must attend to get credit for the day. You are expected to wear appropriate clothing and turn on your camera and microphone.
We're all human, and this is new to all of us. We're going to make mistakes and things won't always go as planned. It's ok. Communicate any problems you are having to your teacher, school counselor, administrator, case manager, or any trusted adult. Use the staff directory and reach out. We will get through this. Together. #GrassoStrong
