Ellis Tech is a school of choice that provides an excellent educational opportunity. We combine a rigorous academic program with the technical skills needed for Connecticut’s future workforce and the challenges of a changing global economy.
When our students graduate, they may choose to enroll in higher education, enter apprenticeship programs leading toward occupational licenses, enhance their technical skills in the military or civil service, or pursue an alternative career path.
We provide the same academic diploma as every other public high school in the state of Connecticut.
Diplomas are endorsed with the student’s Trade Technology.
The school year is divided into 4 marking periods.
Ellis Tech operates on a 7-period day.
To accommodate the trades, Ellis Tech operates on cycles.
o During A-Cycle, Freshmen and Seniors are in academics.
o During B- Cycle, Freshmen and Seniors are in shop.
o Cycles can be 8-14 days long.
Teachers are available after school for extra help and/or during Academic Access periods.
All students receive a Chromebook to use throughout the school year.
