today in MDET it was our last day of the cycle and also for the quarter so we just took the time to make sure all of our work for the quartar was done.
today in MDET we had a small practice test for the DSA test that we will be doing soon. After that i completed my hoyle bionicle assignment which consisted of me making a complex part, Then explaining how to make the part, Then recommending a material.
Today in MDET we finally got to use the custom molds that we designed for a friend. In my soap mold i made a BMW M series logo imprinted onto the soap bar.
Today in MDET we have a half day so we have a light assignment which was Making some more complex dies. These are quite easy for me to do thankfully but onece they get more complex i could see it getting hard fast.
Today in MDET we made ramp walkers in solidworks as a flat patter and then brought them to real life and raced them down a ramp and we were scored on style , effectivness, and sturdyness.
Today in MDET we learned more about the process of making dies then shortly after Mr Jordan posted a new assignment of making more examples of dies which I completed with 4 minutes left in the day.
Today in MDET Mr Jordan anuunced the next MDET survivior assignment which was making a solution for a clients problem. I got a carpenter named dan who needed a place for all of his small stuff (screw,nails,washers,ETC) So that is what i made him
Today in MDET we learned how to make molds to make other parts. We did this by making the part itself and then making a mold around it. Then at the end of the day i took time to clean up the shop and write this.
Today in MDET we had a survivor challenge too complete wich was a whole class project of makeing a steam engine. I finished my parts in 3 hours. I had a few hours to perfect my fly rod holder that i am custom making to fit my truck.
Today in MDET it was the first day of MDET survivor not in teams but instead as a solo team. Our challenge was to create a sky racer that goes across a line across our room. We had to make every single part in Solid works then put them all together in a Assembly and then make and test in real life. And we only had 2.5 hours to do it all! Sadly i didn't quite make the timer so i didn't win the challenge but i didn't get voted out in the end.
today in MDET i finished the last of my make up work just in time for Mr Jordan to post a assignment of a slide show on measurement tools in our shop. we worked on that for a while until Mr Jordan posted the new assignment for MDET Survivor, we finished it and didn't lose so we are still the only team to not lose single challenge/member.
Today in MDET i still had a lot of make up work to do. So i worked on that stuff for the first 2 hours of the day and then the second survivor task was in and for today we had this big assembly to make with the rest of our group members.

today in MDET i had a lot of make up work to do because i had surgery so i was out for pretty much a week. Some of these assignments were drawing some parts and i had to make a job posting . After i got as much of that done as i could mr jordan announced that we will be doing MDET survivor. Its like the game show but in an MDET way and we started but didnt finish our first challenge.
Today in MDET we had around 2 hours to do any final touches to our project and then we presented our presentations on the zip line and then we used them to take out buildings on the floor below and my team won with 8 points.
today in MDET we had to make a few chess pieces on solid works . These were quite hard to make for me because i'm not the best with using tangents but I definitely got better after today!
today in MDET we learned how to dimension using tolerances using the MDET hand book it wasent hard peices to make but learning how to dimension using tolerance took a long time for me to get the hang of.
today in MDET we didnt have to much to do much so i worked on a few things that i didnt have time to finish and the then i did some more stuff to my zip line project.
Today in MDET we finished up designing all of the parts for the project and started working on the assembly of all of the parts to make sure it will work as we imagine. Other than that Mr Jordan gave us some time to make up stuff that we needed more time on.
today in MDET we made an official plan on what we were going to do for our zipline project we also took the skills USA test to see who will be going to Skills USA to rep our shop.
Today in MDET we made plans to make our zip line project, A materials list , And also a name wich we choose S-117 the S represents sand wich is what we will be dropping from it and the -117 par is part of a famous bomber plane.
today we did a practice for the up and coming DSA test we will be taking. Then we did some more work on our zip lines. Then we did some working drawings that i learned how to use reference geometry.
on this day in MDET we made a material list on what we are going to need to make our zip line dropper. and we also made up a better plan on what we are going to do to make it so it cant have many error points.
Today in MDET we started a form of government. We all ran for positions in the government and I won head of the wetlands. We also started our new project where we will be making something that can go down a zipline and drop stuff at specific points along the line.
today I worked on all of the work that I missed last week because I was sick. Some of this work is parts. Some of these parts are projects. We are also supposed to be working on a CSWA pratice test I am also doing a project in my 1st period class on lean manufacturing.
today we worked on our slides and did some finishing products on it. The after that we presented our slides in the morning to the rest of our class. After that we went to lunch . When we came back mr Jordan posted in our google classroom a few examples of drawings that are like the ones on CSWA which we completed just in time for the end of the day and left.
today we worked on our door in first period to make it looking good for the christmas door decoration. Then when we came back we did the CSWA test for around 4 hours. Unfortunately my power was cutting out so i didn't have much time to complete it which cause ed me to only be able to do about 75% of the test in the time limit but i will be ready do redo it next chance i get. When we were all done we just did make up work.
