We help identify practical home modifications that support safety, independence, mobility, caregiver support, and daily function.
Contractors build the space. Occupational Therapists help make sure the space works safely for the person living in it.
Occupational Therapists are trained to assess how a person safely performs daily activities in their home environment. This includes mobility, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, cooking, caregiver assistance, fall prevention, and access to essential areas of the home.
For contractors, remodelers, builders, and home modification professionals, OT consultation can help ensure that accessibility projects are not only built well, but also meet the functional needs of the client.

We assess how clients enter, exit, and move through the home. Recommendations may vary.
We assess the type and level of caregiver support a person may need for daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, mobility, meals, supervision, and nighttime assistance.
This service can help families, case managers, contractors, and care teams understand how home modifications may reduce caregiver strain and improve safety.
Bathrooms are one of the most common areas where home safety concerns occur. We provide OT-based recommendations and considerations.
CTS Home Access Solutions also provides OT-based home safety and accessibility assessments for veterans with mobility, disability, caregiver, or aging-in-place needs.
Recommendations may support planning with the veteran, family, contractor, case manager, or medical provider.
CTS does not guarantee VA grant approval. Our role is to provide OT-based functional safety and accessibility recommendations.
