Welcome!
ESL is held during the school day for approximately 30-45 minutes. Depending on the student's English Language Development level, students will either go to the ESL classroom for individualized or small group instruction, or the ESL teacher may push into their mainstream classroom to provide support. The goal of the ESL program is to build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English through learning the different content areas (English Language Arts, math, science, social studies, and social skills). Students will also learn about American culture and traditions and have opportunities to share information about their own heritage and cultural background.
