Join a Zoom meeting invitation shared by your tutor. (Zoom meetings may only last 40 minutes, keep your eyes peeled for your instructor refreshing the zoom meeting with a new link for a new meeting if the old one expires.)
The link will look something like this: (example link) https://us04web.zoom.us/j/75469016149?pwd=UFNNR0grQ2ZTSWxsbDFTTDBHT25RZz09
When clicking on the link you will meet a prompt like in the visual below. Click on Open Zoom Meetings.
Wait a few minutes after the instructor assigned start time for the virtual activity and perform a role call. Have everyone give you their names. (Alternatively, if students are performing this without a tutor one student takes everyone’s name and enters them into the following website:
(https://challonge.com/tournament/bracket_generator) to set up the pairings between students. (replace student 1, student 2, etc with the real student’s names. Make sure to check the box for randomize seeds as it will be unchecked.)

Decide on which platform to use as a platform to duel on. Students may choose between popular online choices such as dueling book or dueling nexus. (It is recommended students choose dueling nexus if they have trouble with rules as it is automated while dueling book isn’t automated but allows greater flexibility and customization when playing.)
Dueling Book and Dueling Nexus are pictured below respectively:

Once everyone finishes gathering have students register for one or both of the aforementioned websites depending what preference the group of students has,
The first row showcases the process of registering for dueling book. At the bottom left of the home page the student will find the register button. Using any email the student can make an account.
Likewise, the second row circles where the student may find the option to create an account for dueling nexus.

Click on Deck Editor to create your own deck. Press create a new deck as shown on picture number 2. (.YDK files are an online pre-made deck list that when uploaded to your dueling nexus account already has pre-built decks. If not comfortable with making your own deck feel free to look online for pre-existing decks with the file extension . YDK and upload them into your account.)
Go to the search bar on the deck builder screen to begin looking for cards. (Dueling Nexus’s deck builder is much less robust than Dueling book's. While Dueling Nexus has the advantage of being automated, keep in mind that there are less quality of life features such as a more bare bones deck editor.)
