This is what your project should look like when it has been completed.

Hello LMC members, we are going to use Reaper to record ourselves playing along with a Bohemian Rhapsody click track. The first step in accomplishing this is to download the Reaper software using the link https://www.reaper.fm/download.php. You can check which version is compatible with your computer by going to your computer settings and searching for hardware information.

The next step is to start recording along to a click track. The Bohemian Rhapsody click track will be emailed to you, and it will open in Reaper. Once you have the click track downloaded, you can double click in the red area shown below, to open a new track. Before you begin recording, make sure to hit the record input button shown in the green box below. To start recording, hit the large record button in blue. Once you’ve started to record, play through the song in parts to get used to how the software records your instrument.

After saving some recordings you can now line up your recording with the click track by listening to both of them at the same time until they are in sync with each other. This can be accomplished by right-clicking on your recording and clicking on nudge/set items. Then you are able to move your recording forwards or back using the nudge window.
Here is a snipped take that was moved to a new lane to save for later
After recording yourself a couple of times, you should have more than just one usable take. You can move good takes into another track to save for later. This is accomplished by clicking on the track you would like to save for later and dragging it to a lane below. You can then record yourself again on the correct lane to get another take of yourself. Once you have multiple usable takes, you can listen to them and compare them to choose the best one.
Spliced track example
Once you have finalized which takes you are going to use, you can splice them together into the same track. This can be accomplished by using the item nudge window while listening to the click track and your recordings to put them into place. A sample of a spliced track is shown below.

Once your recording has been spliced to your satisfaction, it is time to render the file. If you have more than one recorded track, make sure that all other tracks besides the one that you are rendering are muted. To mute a track, click the Red M button on the track lane. To render a track go to file and then to Render. Click render and make sure to name the file based off of what part you are rendering. Once that has been done, you can render the file and email it to me.
