An eight week Summer research experience in elements of Knot Theory or Differential Geometry
However: we are optimistic that we will again have funding for a program in Summer 2026, and are actively planning for that event. Please stay tuned for updated information as we receive it. We plan to open up the application portal in early/mid Fall for the 2026 program. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this uncertainty, and please contact us if you have any questions.
Objectives: The objectives of the REU program at CSUSB are to
Actively involve undergraduates in significant mathematical research, particularly from underrepresented groups or from institutions where research opportunities are limited,
Increase students’ mathematical independence and maturity, and
Encourage participants to pursue mathematical careers in both industry and academia, and to offer continued mentorship beyond the program.
Have FUN!
