What We're Up To
A outline is an organization tool that gives you a "bird's eye view" of your text.
While you may be tempted to just start writing (and while that strategy can be useful at the brainstorming stages of writing), outlining can help you figure out what information to present in what order, how much time to devote to each "move" in your text, and what resources (data, quotations, images, etc.) you will need to gather to get your draft going.
PRODUCT
Outlines can take a number of forms. For the purpose of this exercise, you will submit an outline (as a PDF or Word file) that includes the required information.Â
PROCESS
First, read through the information provided about outlining. Then, create an outline using as much detail as possible.
