About Me
Hi Everyone! I’m Min-Lin Lo (my first name is Min-Lin, I don’t have a middle name). If you are my student, please call me by Dr. Lo or Professor Lo:) I am a Professor of Mathematics at California State University, San Bernardino.
I grew up in Taitung, Taiwan (the photo above is taken from my beautiful hometown Taitung). I earned my BS in Mathematics from National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and my MA and Ph. D. in mathematics from The State University of New York at Buffalo.
I enjoy eating, traveling, and of course Teaching!
In all courses, I aim to motivate and guide my students to reach their potential and have fun learning :)
Research
One of the High-Impact Practices (HIPs) for students in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is “Work with a faculty member on a research project”. When I was a junior faculty member, I began to develop a goal of involving CSUSB undergraduate students in research. To reach this goal, I have slowly switched my field from Analysis to Graph Theory since this is an area in which students can participate without extensive background.
Other Activities
I am the advisor of our Math Club.
I am the coordinator of our Math Gym.
I am the treasurer of Asian Faculty, Staff, and Student Association (AFSSA) at CSUSB.
Quotes I Like:)
