The Basic Needs and Student Support Center is a one-stop holistic wellness hub for students to receive personalized compassionate care and individualized support for those who have been displaced, experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, an emergency, and/or a crisis today.
Services include:
Obershaw Den serves to assist CSUSB students who face food insecurity or scarcity and is available to currently enrolled CSUSB students, including undergraduate, credential, graduate, and doctoral students.
CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that helps low-income individuals and families buy the food they need.
Housing Security The Short-Term Emergency Housing Program provides students who are experiencing housing insecurities and housing displacement with temporary University Housing, through a partnership with the Department of Residential Education, to ensure the students' safety and time to acquire permanent and secure housing. The short-term emergency housing is for up to 14 days at no cost to the student
Financial Security The Basic Needs program is here to help our students in time of need when it matters most
Cody's Closet provides CSUSB students with daily personal wear and professional clothing to address clothing insecurities.
Holistic Advising will work directly with students to help gain strategies to make good decisions, problem-solve, and persist through difficulties in every aspect of their lives.
