Biography

Piaget was born on August 9th, 1896 in the City of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He was educated at the University of Neuchâtel, and studied briefly at the University of Zürich. He soon moved to Paris from Switzerland after his graduation to follow his teachings to others. Before becoming a Psychologist, he first practiced in Natural History and Philosophy.

Personal Life

Piaget was the oldest son of his father, Arthur Piaget who was a professor at the University of Neuchâtel. He grew up having a passion for Biology, and the natural world. So much so, that by the age of 15 he had written two articles on Mollusks. He later married Valentine Châtenay in 1923, who he had three children with and also had studied since infancy.
